A mac-torrents shelf kept by a Vancouver editor: the tools that sit next to the timeline and the games that play like films, each logged with the build, the size and the Mac it ran on.

Behind the reel
This is a working catalog — six hundred and thirty-six pieces of software, each one picked because it does something useful on a Mac used for making films, music or just winding down with a story worth your time. You will not find every release under the sun here. What you will find is a set of mac-torrents that have stuck around in my own toolkit or in the toolkits of people I trust: editors, composers, colourists and other filmmakers who need their machines to keep up.
Everything is grouped by what it actually does. VST Plugins covers the synths, effects and processors that shape a mix — Serum, Kontakt, the Valhalla reverbs. Audio holds the DAWs and editors: Ableton Live, Logic Pro, a handful of spectral tools. Adobe and macOS carry the heavy-lifting suites — Photoshop, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve Studio — alongside utilities like CrossOver and Microsoft Office that keep a freelance life running. Games is smaller, curated for long evenings: story-driven things, atmospheric worlds. Mac Apps catches everything else that earns its keep.
